Building Your Group

A twelve-month playbook, written by people who have watched a lot of groups fill — and a few that did not.

The honest version

Groups are filled by follow-up, not announcements

Almost every ambassador starts the same way: a post, a flurry of excited replies, and then silence. The post was never the hard part. The hard part is the second conversation, the one where somebody says they cannot afford it and you show them the payment plan.

This page is the sequence that works. It assumes you have a community and no free time, which describes most of the people who do this well.

Twelve months

From an idea to a full manifest

01

12 months out

Name the trip and the people

Pick your departure window and write down thirty names — not a mailing list, actual people you could call. Most groups are built from the first fifteen.

Focus — Confirm dates with your Nkabom contact

02

10 months out

Run the first information session

One room, one hour, one honest cost conversation. We supply the deck, the itinerary and a team member on video if you want backup.

Focus — Collect interest, not deposits

03

9 months out

Open bookings

Travelers book and pay through Nkabom directly on their own payment plan. Your job shifts from selling to following up.

Focus — Aim for the first five deposits

04

6 months out

Hit the tier

Ten confirmed travelers unlocks group pricing. This is the moment the trip stops being an idea, and word of mouth starts doing the work for you.

Focus — Second info session for the fence-sitters

05

3 months out

Close the group

Final seats, documents and payments. We run a pre-departure call with the whole group so nobody arrives with a surprise.

Focus — Passports and insurance verified

06

Departure

Travel

You lead your people. Our in-country team handles everything else, and you are not the one solving a coach breakdown in Kumasi.

Focus — Be present, not on logistics duty

Group size

What each tier unlocks

10–14

travelers

Group pricing unlocked

Private itinerary, group rate for every traveler, and ambassador benefits begin.

15–24

travelers

Improved tier

Better per-traveler pricing and expanded ambassador travel benefits.

25+

travelers

Full custom

Fully bespoke itinerary, dedicated program staff, and the strongest benefit tier we offer.

Under ten travelers we can still place your people on an existing departure at individual rates. A small group is never a dead end — it just does not unlock a private itinerary.

You will not do this alone

Every ambassador gets a named Nkabom contact, the full recruitment kit, and someone who will join your information session on video if you want the backup.
